I'm looking for a roommate to move into my Stuy Town 3 BR apt. It's a top floor, fully furnished place with two awesome female roommates. Both are in their mid/upper 20's, keep busy at work and with friends and like to have home be a friendly, clean place to return to at the end of the day. If you're looking for a great place to live with truly great roommates, this could be the perfect spot for you!
About the room: The room is the middle room of 3 in a converted 3 bedroom apartment in Stuy Town. It has a large window, an a/c unit, its own large closet in the hall and room for a large bed and plenty of furniture. The room will be unfurnished.
About the apartment: The kitchen has a window, fridge and dishwasher as well as plenty of storage. You will have common space to store things in the front hall closet, linen closet, bathroom, and kitchen. There is a garbage shoot on the floor and recycling and laundry on the ground floor. Stuy Town has a farmer's market on Sundays through November, an ice skating rink in the winter, outdoor movies on the lawn in the summer, and a very responsive maintenance team. It's truly a dream living here! The apartment is on the corner of the M14 bus stop and one very short block to the 1st Ave L train. Union Square is a quick train or bus ride or about a 12 minute walk. It's an amazing area with great options for eating out, groceries, gym and fun.
What we're looking for: You are a young professional who wants your home to be clean and comfortable, and would like your roommates to be considerate and awesome people. You are reliable when it comes to paying rent, and don't mind chipping in to purchase common items such as toilet paper or cleaning supplies.
The logistics: The room is available on May 1st. The rent is $1549, plus $50 for utilities, cable and internet. I will need first month's rent as well as a security deposit of one month's rent prior to move in. I have the lease until June 2016 and would love to find someone who is looking for a place to live for the full 13 months.
