At evaluation Rocko was perfect at every test, sociable and friendly with people and dogs, no guarding or handling issues. A volunteer writes: Rocko is the most adorable, endearing little guy! His coloring and dark whiskers remind me of a fox. He is very friendly to everyone he meets and often insists on stopping to give staff members hugs when we walk down the hallway. He's also seemed friendly towards all of the other dogs we've encountered outside. Rocko seems to have housetraining and already knows "sit." Since arrival he's gained almost 20 lbs he desperately needed to, and looks so handsome and grown up! He is crazy for treats; he is not grabby and his teeth literally chatter in anticipation when he is waiting on me to find one! Rocko's teeth also chatter sometimes when he is waiting for me to throw a tennis ball - he loves fetch! He eagerly pounces after the ball and loves to carry it around and shake his head before plopping down with it under the bench. Most of all, Rocko is so attentive and loving! He loves to be pet and will wrap his paws around my arm in an effort to prolong cuddle time! I know Rocko will make such a wonderful, loyal companion - I can just imagine his teeth chattering when he knows his person is almost home...he would love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!

Another volunteer writes: Such a sweet dog Rocko is. He was the first dog I walked yesterday and maybe the best in my mind. With his lively nature and tender mannerisms, for sure, Rocko is a catch in my mind. He is playful and knows the command, "Sit" ... "Good, good Rocko!" Yes, he did pulled some, but nothing, in my mind, that can't be curbed with the proper training from an owner. Rocko has a wonderfully soft coat, and beautiful coloring overall. He seems to be house trained, doing his business on our walk and not in his kennel. Yes, in my mind, Rocko would be a fine catch for any person and family, he seems to like other doggy's too.
